Cyberstalking via phone messages


A 62-year-old female reported vulgar text messages Friday, April 18, at 5:55 p.m., from her niece’s ex-husband, James Farrell, a 45-year-old white male.

Farrell was charged with cyberstalking by Wrightsville Beach police.


Three men cited with drug, alcohol violations


Three white males were cited with multiple drug and alcohol violations after a police officer noticed a red Hummer blocking Public Beach Access No. 43, near Jack Parker Boulevard, around 3:07 p.m. Saturday, April 19.

The officer saw one of the men raise a bottle of beer and smelled the odor of marijuana, later finding 1.6 grams of marijuana, a multicolored glass pipe and a bottle of Jägermeister.

Sterling Harrison Taylor, 21, received a citation for consumption of a malt beverage in the passenger area of a motor vehicle and open container.

Andrew Frederick Tucker, 19, and James Michael Mosure, 25, were issued citations for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
