DWI suspect parked on sidewalk, slept

On Thursday, March 6, at 10:19 p.m., officers found Lisa Ann Martin, 41, parked in a blue Volkswagen Beetle on a sidewalk on the 1000 block of North Lumina Avenue with the turn signal on.

When officers approached the car, Martin appeared to be sleeping inside. She reportedly spoke in slurred speech and had red watery eyes, and stated she came from the Port City Chophouse with a friend.

Martin was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and driving on sidewalk prohibited.



Girlfriend, boyfriend dispute leads to three charges


Hyatt Fields, 32, was charged with assault on a female, larceny and damage to personal property following an altercation with his girlfriend Thursday, March 6, at 2:04 a.m.

The couple was reportedly arguing after the girlfriend had been drinking and said she was going to get cold medicine and returned to Fields’ home more intoxicated. Fields told his girlfriend to leave and she said she was not going to go. Fields then reportedly ripped her cell phone out of her hand.
