Graffiti found at Galleria property

On Friday, Feb. 28, a Wrightsville Beach police officer noticed graffiti at the Galleria property, at 3:30 p.m., at 6800 Wrightsville Ave.

The officer filed a report for criminal damage to property. Officers have a lead on the suspects after finding paint at a nearby driveway. Officers drive through the Galleria property regularly since graffiti at the vacant property has become a problem.

Towing dispute leads to hit-and-run

On Monday, Feb. 24, a hit and run and misdemeanor failure to stop was reported after two white males got into a dispute with David Fahey, of D & N Wrecker Service, who was trying to tow their vehicle from a parking lot near Tower 7 on Stone Street at 5:43 p.m.

The passenger unhooked the vehicle while Fahey was in dispute with the driver. While the suspect vehicle was leaving the scene, the driver backed up, hit a black 2007 Jeep Wrangler and left the scene.
