Relocating from Wrightsville Avenue to the space beside Haverty’s Furniture in Landfall Center, Wine and Design’s new Wilmington location now has two studios for private and open art classes. Owner Claudia Outlaw recently bought the franchise in August 2012 and said she has had a great response in the first week at the new location. The business offers classes for children and adults throughout the day. For a schedule of classes visit Wine and Design’s website at

Pediatric dentist coming to Mayfaire in July

Now practicing in Bladenboro, Wilmington native and Wrightsville Beach resident Allison Eggleson will open her own pediatric dental practice in the first floor of the new office building behind the Mayfaire Harris Teeter this July. Without any pediatric dental practices in Wilmington, Eggleson said she saw a need for it and wanted to work closer to home. To be named Dr. Egg’s Pediatric Dentistry, the 3,456 square foot space will have enough room for eight chairs and Eggleson said she would focus on restorative and preventative dentistry.
