The 2nd Annual Fore the Children Golf Tournament at Cape Fear Country Club will tee off on Monday, March 25 to benefit the Childrenís Museum of Wilmington.
The CMOW serves children ages 10 and younger through interactive, hands-on exhibits and experiences to help children explore and understand the arts, sciences and culture. Last yearís inaugural tournament raised $15,000 for the museumís Raise the Roof Campaign, which restored the museumís 250-year-old roof. This year, proceeds from the tournament will support the CMOW and its efforts in promoting early literacy and its science, math, technology and engineering programs.
The four-ball, captainís choice tournament will begin at 11 a.m. with golfer registration, and a shotgun start will kick off the tournament at 12:30 p.m. Following the completion of the tournament, appetizers will be provided and awards presented to the top teams.
Entry fees are $200 for individuals or $800 per foursome. Registration will be open until the start of the tournament at 12:30 p.m. To register and for more information, visit www.playwilmington.org or contact CMOW director of marketing, Michelle Peck, at 910-254-3534.
